ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION

Facial trauma patients are treated by several surgical sub-specialties.   Plastic and reconstructive surgeons, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, and otolaryngologists treat the majority of facial skeletal and soft tissue injuries.  These practitioners treat the majority of patients who sustain facial injuries.  This multi-specialty, 501(c)(3) non-profit, multinational association was founded to create an educational resource for patients, to develop a private forum to enhance knowledge and interaction among specialists,to generate awareness in society, to further research in facial trauma, and to support educational programs that train surgeons in treating facial trauma.  It is the singular goal to become the world's leading resource and definitive authority in facial trauma.
